This fantastic event was filled with business, networking, and a whole lot of fun! Tuesday featured exciting networking events for operator members and exhibitors, including a chartered fishing trip on Lake Michigan and a well-attended golf outing at the Ives Groves Golf Links.

Both Tuesday and Wednesday we offered training and troubleshooting for operators’ staff with WAMO Trade Members Banilla Games, Primero Games, Big Daddy Games, PDQ and Toccata Gaming! We also had training sessions from Technik, Nevada Gold and a course in Equipment Security and Theft Prevention. EMP susceptibility (Electro Magnetic Pulse Generator) and how to insulate your equipment from its vulnerabilities to prevent it from occurring. (Link to handout) 

The opening day concluded with WAMO’s 1st-Ever Casino Night featuring games like Blackjack, Roulette, Craps and Texas Hold’EM – with prizes, a DJ, open bar, networking and more!

Wednesday started off all business for the operators during the annual membership meeting a legislative update, elections, tournament reports, important industry updates and other association reports.

The morning concluded with a special presentation from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue title, “Tax Issues for Amusement Device Operators.” Topics discussed during this meeting include sales and use tax issues, income/franchise taxes, audits, recordkeeping, and more! The action continued during lunch where special guest and luncheon speaker AMOA President Luke Adams provided a national update.

After lunch, the packed tradeshow opened, where valued WAMO trade members and industry manufacturers had the opportunity to show off their latest products, games and services.

The conference concluded Wednesday with a banquet and rapid-fire live auction. Thank you to everyone who made this year’s auction possible: Jon Kleiman, Penny Donaldson, Travis Wilkinson, and auctioneer Steve Liebe.
